The Gladys House

We purchased this house in July of 2021. I took my sweet realtor through some really sketchy homes before committing to this one. My favorite type of property to consider for a project is an abandoned property with an original footprint. I don't want to tear out somebody's bad 1970's reno project. I like to see the home as close to original as possible. And somehow, we have been lucky enough to find 2 like that. The house was built in 1900 and has 5 acres. It has about 1200 sq. ft. of living space with 3 bedrooms and 1 awful bathroom. The yard is pretty overgrown and the back porch is hanging by a thread. Thankfully the inspector confirmed that it has good bones :) We certainly have our work cut out for us. We have begun the process, but because I am new to blogging, I am a bit behind with the updates. Stay tuned to see the progress that we've made!
