Jeff, our two girls (plus a friend that we claim as child number 5) and I spent a few hours down at the house. There are only 2 rooms in the house that have been updated, the kitchen and bathroom. All of the walls in the house are either bead board or tung and groove wood, like flooring but on the walls and ceiling. We pulled out most of the sheet rock in the kitchen and found untouched bead board covering all of the walls and ceiling. The wood is very brittle, but I would like to save it and either incorporate it into the design of the house or use for a future project. Maddie and Faith demo'd the walls of the bathroom with their little string bean arms. They were both animals with the sledge hammer! The bathroom floor is rotted all the way through and will need some structural repair to the floor joists and subfloor. Jeff took to the outside with a small excavator. He was able to pull down the back porch, pop some stumps out, clear some overgrowth in the yard and knock down the original well house. Overall, we had a pretty productive day :)
